Pupils from Edington & Shapwick School raised a staggering £250 for spinal research during non-uniform day on Tuesday 18th November. 
David Walker, Joint Headmaster at Edington & Shapwick School has recently celebrated his 25th anniversary at the helm of the country's first and largest specialist school for dyslexic pupils.

Annual Edington PGL Trip

The Year 8 Trip is an annual event that is organised for the pupils at the end of their final Summer Term, before leaving the Prep School to join the Seniors at Shapwick.
This was a great occasion that brought together an afternoon of nostalgia and a social gathering in the evening to make a hugely successful event.
Edington and Shapwick School pupils and parents starred on BBC Somerset’s breakfast show explaining about dyslexia and its effect on them. 

Ten Tors Preparation

A team of eleven students from Edington and Shapwick School are heading on to Dartmoor for their first training session for the Ten Tors Annual event.

Yet again our students continue to outperform national averages, this year over 70% achieved five or more GCSE Grades A* to C.

This is a poem that one of our students wrote.
Today we went to Whatley Quarry,
On the way there we saw a lorry,

Boarding at Edington

At our boarding house there are chickens, dens and acres of space to play ballgames, hide in trees, set up water slides and have BBQ's. Girls and boys enjoy playing games of football together, swinging on the tree swing or just relaxing outside.

Year 9 Science Challenge

Few of our students have been to the Dead Sea, but most have heard that swimmers float very easily in this extremely salty body of water.  Although the idea that salt increases buoyancy is intuitive for some people, students in 9S were recently given the task of proving it.
